Today is World Environment Day which is an annual event that is aimed at being the biggest and most widely celebrated global day for positive environmental action. World Environment Day activities take place all year round but climax on 5 June every year, involving everyone from everywhere.

World Environment Day celebrations began in 1972 and has grown to become one of the main vehicles through which the UN stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and encourages political attention and action.

World Environment Day is also a day for people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations.

This year Move One Dubai was proud to support the Paddle for the Planet event held on Saturday 2 June, 2012. The event was a global event and its main purpose was to raise environmental awareness, in particular, about keeping the world’s oceans clean and environmentally sound.

Move One was one of many paddle teams that participated in the fun morning activities. Over twenty teams participated in Dubai. The teams ventured out on Kite Beach in Jumeirah and paddled  their way in support of this event. Move One Dubai provided tents for teams and their supporting fans to take shelter from the hot Dubai sunshine. All teams enjoyed a fun morning, full of team spirit with their fellow colleagues.
